It&#8217;s a valve amplifier/iPod dock, which looks mysteriously similar to my guitar amp, the custom ordered to my instructions Matamp Minimat:</p>

<p>I am a big fan of analog when it comes to sound/audio and the main reason I have an iPod Nano has more to do with convenience rather than being convinced about its audio potency. And because I can&#8217;t carry a valve cassette player in my pocket&#8230;. I&#8217;d be very interested to check the valve dock first hand, tho. It&#8217;s only being sold in Germany and Japan at the moment, but hopefully it will reach the UK soon.</p>
